Chi Gung + Chair Yoga

This class is great for..

-all yoga practitioners
-those with limited mobility (unable to kneel, sit on the floor or get down to the mat)

This class uses yoga techniques such as breath awareness, meditative movement and body postures for a holistic approach to health.

This class includes inventive poses, targeted movements and stretches performed while standing or seated in a chair. Anyone can benefit from the variety and support that a chair offers.

Also incorporated into this class are beneficial Chi Gung-inspired movements based on the Chinese tradition for health and healing. This practice is performed primarily standing with a calm, meditative state. Gentle flowing movements aim to connect with the internal fluidity of one's life force (chi). Practicing Chi Gung is believed to cultivate and renew chi while also improving balance, vitality and awareness of body.

This class is held at Lotus Root Yoga studio.
